Hello Guys,

I have configured Solman7.1 Sp08.

I have completed the System Preparation and Basic Config.

Also i have completed the Self monitoring for solman.

For a java system i have finished the managed system config and also technical monitoring->system monitoring..

When i am going to solman_workcenter-->Technical Monitoring->System Monitoring and i Select the java system and open it the new window.

I get the configuration status as green but all other are grey.

I have checked the jobs SAP_CALCULATE_ALERT_ENGINE and EFWK_RESOURCE_MANAGER are running.Below is the screenshot

.

Regards

Abhishek

Abhishek,

You might need to reinstall the DAA agents as standalone. For clustered systems you need to use an installation method called DAA agent on-the fly

http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/SMSETUP/Diagnostics+Agent+and+HA+Support

Is your Wily introscope running?

Also make sure before you do anything else that you have activated the alerts in solman_workcenter-->Technical Monitoring->System Monitoring .

Cheers

Jimmy

Hi Abhishek,

Is the data for Java system is collecting in Solman. Please check the RCA once.

Have you restarted the Java system after completing the configuration in Solman..?

Hi Abhishek,

If the status is green for jobs SAP_CALCULATE_ALERT_ENGINE and EFWK_RESOURCE_MANAGER please can you re-execute as per note 1819848 if you have not done so already.

This should help.

Kind regards,

Roland

Hello,

The alerts for other systems are displaying correctly.

And i have implemented the all the above mentioned notes.

This java System is HA system and Pure Java with no abap as backend.

I have installed DA on the Physical Node and it has two logical hosts as well.

1 logical host is CI and other is DB.So do i need to install the DA on logical host also.

What about the Host agents in this scenario. I think one host agent per one physical Host and that should be already there when i installed DA on physical host. So while installing DA7.3 SP03 on logical Hosts will also install Hostagent on the logical systems will that cause any issues?

Regards

Abhishek

Hi,

You may have to implement thes notes

Note 1834341 - Collective note for  MAI - Solution Manager 7.1 SP8  and

Note 1822476 - Collective Corrections for the MEA Directory SP8.
1819848 - All metrics are grey in Technical Monitoring

Have you implemented them already?

Also have you restarted the Java stack?

Rgds,
Vivek
