Hi,
We have noticed that not all variants have an entry in the table WRF_MATGRP_PROD in ECC.
This is causing an issue since BW is reading data from this table in ECC.
The same issue is not noticed in case of table WRF_MATGRP_SKU where the entries of each variants is present.
We want to know if all article assignments to article hierarchy, including for variant articles, should be in the table WRF_MATGRP_PROD ?
Regards
Anurag

Hi Anurag,
Ideally all your entries(Generic+Variants) have to be updated in both these tables ie WRF_MATGRP_SKU and WRF_MATGRP_PROD
You may have to consider implementing the following notes (if not already present)
Note 1174570 - AH - Duplicate assignment of variants for generic Articles
Note 1084464 - Incorrect main assignment when assigning generic article
Also i would suggest you test it using the FM "BAPI_WRF_MATGRP_CHANGE" and check with a set of data using Generic+Variants and check if its updating both the tables as a sanity check.
Hope it helps
BR,
Aram.

Just find the duplicate entries & delete those from MM42 screen from hierarchy & re assign those back. This should ensure that there is only one entry for those SKUs in WRF_MATGRP_SKU Table. As soon as we have a single entry in WRF_MATGRP_SKU, a BW job should have a success status.
