Recommended goto release of SAP PI with NW 7.0 EHP 3 and CRM 7.0 ?

Hi Experts

Can anyone tell me what is the recommended goto release of SAP PI with NW 7.0 EHP 3 and CRM 7.0 ?

In my company PI is used as below:

Data from portal comes to PI and via PI it goes to the tables in CRM using IDOCs, ABAP Proxies and RFCs.

If any more information required please let me know.

Hi,

you can go for 7.31 (either java stack only or dual stack)

PI always needs to be in the highest version in your landscape,

Another one for you....from PI 7.0 which of the following has more complexity

1. PI 7.1 or 7.1 EHP

2. PI 7.31 ?

I read that communication channels create problems when migrating from 7.0 to 7.31.

Hi Neha

You can decide  on the type of interfaces you are going to deal with . If there are no business processess ( BPM ) you can go for  a single stack  java  AEX installation .

If you have BPM's you can go for Process orchestration ( AEX + BPM/BRM )

We do have BPM in almost all the scenarios so Process orchestration ( AEX + BPM/BRM )should work but do you think PI 7.1 is also a good option ?
