Transport Request Neither Releasing Nor Deleting After SID of System Change

Former Member

Dear All,

Recently we go through migration process. The only thing we change from old system to new system is SID.

Our old development name is DVB and we change it to EHD.

After migration everything works fine except the transport we created when SID was DVB.

STMS configuration is working fine for any new change and transport, but for old transport DVBK(XXXXXXX) its giving error.

We are also unable to delete it because the task under the transport was already released before.

Also we cannot make new TR because object are locked under old TR.

Is there any way we can delete all these old transport to release all locked object and create new TRs?

Need the community help to overcome this problem.

Error file is attached.

regards

Saifuddin

Hi Saifuddin,

You can change the Transport Request status from Released to modifiable in Dev Server.

SE38 --> Program Name -- RDDIT076  --> Execute --> Enter Request No --> Change Status R to D by double clicking on it.

Hope it helps.

Hi Saifuddin,

Please also check if there is still old LOB file in /usr/sap/trans/tmp or bin and rename this file.

Also check link.

http://scn.sap.com/people/dolores.correa/blog/2009/07/22/change-request-management-scenario-usual-qu...

For the old ones to be reimported please ensure your file ownership has changed for all the transport files to the new sidadm user i.e. ehdadm

For releasing the transports you should be able to release everything is sap also at presently running with the new user?

Maybe confirm as well if you did a stop start and logoff logon as user before you restarted DB?

Did you do relevant changes for E070 table?

Hello Saifuddin,

First check the packages transport layer in SE80 and try change it. if that doesn't work then go to SE03 unlock the objects

Thanks
