Unable to Create 'Lock' Records

Former Member

Dear Experts,

We have implemented (1) Structural Authorization, (2) Personnel Number Check plus (3) lock/unlock authorization for monetary infotypes in HR module. Current issue: users are able to create lock records but not able to change the existing records (unlock records) with the following error message:

“No maintenance authorization for Recurring Payments/Deductions …  at Personnel number …. exists”

According to the Functional Team, user should be able to change existing records and the updated record will be a 'locked' record. SU53 results seems misleading (the missing authorization listed in the report has already being granted) and no missing authorization traced via ST01. Appreciate if you could advise where should I start to investigation further?

Best regards.

Hi,

it is really strange, that the ST01 result differs from the SU53 result.

Please countercheck once more. Please check the timestamps of the failed checks in su53 - do they match to the execution of the t-code in question?

Does SU53 say something like 'authorization assigned but not in buffer'?

Which t-code are you talking about? PA20 or a FI-transaction?
