SAP Vendor Hierarchy Vs IS Retail

Hi Team,

One of the client business requirement, we are thinking to use SAP Vendor Hierarchy.

We understand that SAP Vendor Hierarchy can be effectively utilised only when we have IS-Retail installed.

Is that true?

How do we know that IS-Retail is installed or not?

Is IS-Retail will come along with Standard SAP Pakage like MM Module?

How much cost and other implications to get IS-Retail?

If we dont have IS-Retail, upto what extent we can use SAP Vendor Hierarchy? Where we will get problem?

Hello,

Vendor hierarchy can be fully implemented in IS Retail. It is a part of SAP ERP under MM module.

In order to know whether your system is retail, execute transaction SFW5 (Switch Framework) and verify switch for Enterprise Extension EA-RET (Retail). It should be switched on.

Vendor Hierarchy is used mainly for reporting, setting up conditions and rebate agreements at hierarchy level.
