Separate Billing & Invoicing

Dear Experts,

In other modules, we have single billing and invoicing;

But in ISU, we have separate billing and separate invoicing,

As per my understanding, in ISU bill is created according to portion wise and invoice is created on CA.

Because here we have joint invoicing option also, if we have single billing & invoicing then joint invoicing is not possible.

Could you please suggest me the reason why we have separate billing & invoicing in ISU?

It is precisely to enable multiple contract and multiple service scenarios.  Utilities typically do not want to send more than one invoice to a customer regardless of number of services (and customers want to receive only one).
