Problem while loading SSL Certificates in Keystoreview..........

Dear All,

We have ECC-PI-Salesforce Scenario(https - Async). We have received Self Signed Certificate

from Salesforce and imported the same in Keystorage in NWA 7.3. After Importing we found only "Certificate"

entry type (No Private/Public Keys) also we couldn't see the keystore in Receiver CC (SOAP).

So We again created a New Private Key for the same Keystore View by copying the Common name, Country code...etc

from the salesforce certificate and now we are able to see our Keystore entry in CC.

Our Questions:

1) Are we on the right path ?
2) Do we need to genrate our private key though we are using third party certificates ?

Thanks All.

Hi Nikhil,

Could you please elaborate your issue:

- Whether you are using PI Dual Stack ?

- Whether your scenario is outboud - async ?

- Which adapter you are using ?

- If possible screenshot of id config of the cc

Did you check the below?

http://scn.sap.com/community/pi-and-soa-middleware/blog/2013/01/06/how-to-load-keys-and-certificates...

2) Do we need to genrate our private key though we are using third party certificates ?

if you are just doing encryption then i don't think you need a private key.

If you are planning to do signing and encryption then you may need private key as well.

Thanks. We followed the same blog for importing certificates, we too tried importing in trusted CA but still keystore didnt appear in Receiver CC. (If we import certificates in trusted CA then what is the link between Receiver CC and Certificates that we imported ?)

Also When we import any third party certificates will we get a seperate entry type as Public Key. Becasue we observed that only when we have a key(Public/Private) entry type, Keystore is appaearing in CC.

Any Suggestions ?

Thanks.

Hello Sivakumar,

If you install the XPI Inspector tracing tool, this should give you all the clues you need to resolve this. It has very good tracing capabilities for certificate related scenarios. See note 1514898 XPI Inspector for troubleshooting XI.
