After transfer the requirement to mrp what will happen?

Hi experts,

    After availability check carries out at plant level,if system finds negetive ATP quantities,we will follow the forwarding scheduling and confirms the quentities after requested delivery date(Which base it will confirms the date)why because we dont know whenn the production will complete,when the materials  available to deliver the customer?In PP side what will happen?After transfer the requirement to MRP what will happen pp side&sd side.Please

provide me detailed information.

Hi Krishna,

As you know once the sales order is created, from the Item category and MRP type combination Requirement type is triggered which in turn triggeres the Requirement class

From the requirement class, system will determine whether to carry out Availability check and TOR

if system could not meet the customer requested delivery date by the available quantity, then the requirement is transferred to MRP where a MRP planning is created

During MRP runs system calculates the Requirement either by In-House production or external procurement for which a Planned order and Purchase requisition are created respectively

You can see the stock requirement list in MD04, and after the MRP run, system calculats the dates and required quantity to be met

In summary, based on the MRP, either a Planned order or Purchase requisition is created in the back end to meet the customer requested quantity and customer requested delivery date

Hello krishna

First of all Availibilty check Prerequisite are

-checking group (Material Master)

-schedule line category

-requirement class

if checking group in material master is 01 then system will not perform backorder & rescheduling

and TOR is ,while creating sales order in background system automatically transfer the requirement to MRP....requirement class actually controls how to pass the requirement to MRP..so after transfering the requiremnet to MRP if requierment meets the avail stock then u can deliver the product on propose date.this is SD part ..
