Updation of Period Year through a selection variable on Report painter reports

Hi All,

Can you please help me understand if we can use a selection variable for the field Period / year (through a variant) for report painter reports.

My initial investigation showed that the field Perio does not appear in the variant, which thus does not provide an option to add selection variable.

is there any other method for this?

Hi,

Either you can create a custom form (recommended) wherein you can add this field or you can modify the existing form to bring this field in the selection. If required, you can make this field mandatory as well.

hi,

I have the field on the selection screen, i would like to get this field populated automatically with the help of Selection variable.

but for Report painter reports i dont see this field in the variant to update the Selection variable.

thats is why trying to see alternative solutions.

can you suggest anything

Hi,

Even that is possible. Goto "Change Report" (CJE2) --> Choose the appropriate Report then goto variables tab, you should be able to enter a default value for the variable.
