Hello Gurus,

the client specification is that while the sales rep is creating quotation the sales rep should be able to be able to maintain the long text of the material and also add customer notes on the quotation screen, the long text is not maintained in the material master but is added while creating quotation. and also the same is for the  customer Notes which needs to be added while creating the quotation. how will this be achieved.

Hi Zahid,

This is standard Text Determination config in Sales Document means at Inquiry,Quotation,Sales Order and so on. Go to VOTXN and try the Sales Document Header or Item which you want to configure for your Quotation text maintenance. After the Defining your text assign to your Quotation type.

Then check at the time of quotation creation the Texts are coming as per your config or not.

Sincere suggestion: Please search in SCN or google before posting it. Its a direct scenario of text determination. If you search the term with text determination at orders you will get "N" number of results and links.

Hi,

As already stated, use the transaction code VOTXN to configure the text determination procedure

If you want text determination at the sales document header, follow the below steps

Create the Text determination procedure

Create the TEXT  ID

Ceate access sequence

Assign access sequence to TEXT IDs

Assign the text determination procedure to Sales document type

In the same way, if you want at the item in the final step assign the text determination procedure at the item category
