Install and Configure SAP Solution Manager 7.1

Hi, I am new in Solution Manager . I download from SAP Marketplace DVDs, I install using SWPM 1.0 SP02, install ok.

My system is: Solution Manager 7.1 SR1, Oracle 11.1, Windows x64 R2 2008, 8 GB RAM.

My kernel release 720 level 401.

My goal: Install Solution Manager and configure MOPZ for upgrade my ERP 6.0 to ERP 606.

When I am Reading documentation, show me I need following prerequisites:

SAP_BASIS 702 SP10, ST 710 SP05, LIM-SERVICE 7.10 SP05, BICONT 706SP03, SAP_BW 702 SP10, ST_BCO 710 SP03, BBPCRM 701 SP07.

I try to apply ABAP Support Packets from SPAM transaction, however, Support Packets need some add-on like CTS_PLUG 200, IW_BEP 200, IW_FND 250 . I try install those add-on with SAINT transaction and there is problem and stay freeze on MAIN IMPORT phase. I guess is an incompatibility problema and so.

I read another SAP notes and talk about Software Update Manager (SUM) to install a complete Support Packet Stack, I download SUM1.0 SP7 and download Solution Manager Support Packets Stack 8. When I try to run, show many errors, and my installation is not complete.

My final question is, Do I need make all prerequisites for configure SolMan MOPZ?? …..

I need just configure Mantenance Optimizer as single as possible, Can I configure MOPZ with default SP? Or is essential upgrade my system with any complex process (SUM). I need just configure MOPZ and register my ERP server and download EHP components for my servers.

Hi Jose,

You can configure MOPZ on 7.1 SR1 itself. No need to upgrade or patch your system from current level.
