I have access to an ecc5 system but when I go into se80 there is no access to web wynpro for abap. I though t it would just be there!! What system natively has abap web dynpro available?
Hi Ross,
After installing WAS 7.0, you can't see your UI elements in Layout in Webdynpro ABAP. So for that you need to update your host file and your internet option you need to update advance search. Then only you can be able to design UI. This can be done by your IT Support also. As I faced same problems.
I hope it will be helpful to you.

Hi Ross,
You also need to install WAS 7.0 to run your Web Dynpro Application.

Hi Ross. ECC 5.0 runs on Netweaver 2004. WebDynpro ABAP was not introduced untill Netweaver 2004s. So really you need to have ECC 6.0 instread of 5.0 in order to leverage WDA.
And you are right, if you had NW2004s, you could go to SE80, and "WebDynpro Component" would be one of the choices in the drop down list box in the upper left hand corner.
