Java Version +Solution Manager 7.1 SR1+Sybase+Windows

HI All,

I am starting SAP Solution Manager Server 7.1 SR1 installtion client orderd for the DVD 's Now I have recived the Installation Master DVD 51042606 .

But I have read we can do the installtion through SWPM .

Now My doubt can i go a head with Installation master DVD if yes which Java version needs to be installed and set envrionment variable .

Please suggest

Hello

You should use 70S* SWPM package and kernel DVD according to SWPM. You also should use SAP JVM 4.

It means we need to download the JVM 4 from service market place and need to uncar the file and set the environment varibale right .

One more how can we uncar the JVM intial stage we dont have CAR function  right ?

Hello

You can download SAPCAR from SAP Service Marketplace and then uncar SAPJVM.sar into a folder which you desire. After that link it to environmental variables.

Hi,

You need not download and uncar SAPJVM files. It will get deployed during the installation,

Just extract the SWPM files and initiate the sapinst for installation.

Ensure that you have following DVDs with you

1) Kernel DVD

2) Export DVD

3) JAVA component DVD

4) RDBMS DVD
