I upgraded on our BI production system to build 7.6.01-12. When the system tables are loaded during SDBUPD I see the following error in knldiag.err:
2007-03-02 23:14:20 31226 ERR 51080 SYSERROR -9407 unexpected error
2007-03-02 23:14:20 31226 ERR 30 SQLMan Unexpected error when retrieving table descriptor in iterator
, error 'Execution failed, parse again',SCHEMANAME=SAP
2007-03-02 23:14:20 31226 ERR 30 SQLMan BIP ,TABLENAME=/BI0/SMAT_SALES
,RETURNCODE=-8
The upgrade was sucessfully finished though.
I now wonder, what that implies - or can it be ignored?
Regards,
Markus
Hi Markus,
a) did you open an official OSS message?
b) did you try a reloading of the system tables, i.e.: is the issue reproduceable?
Thanks & regards,
Roland

Hi Roland,

Nope - not yet because that error didn't impact anything (as of now). I will open one

No, it happens just once - and only on tables, that are part of BW/BI (mainly /BI/ tables). The load_systab ran fine ALTHOUGH that error was written in knldiag. Subsequent load_systab's don't lead to any errors.
