Hi all.
I have an urgent question that I need some guidance from all you SAP gurus on!
Is it possible to practice the query made by Universe Designer by Business Intelligence Launch Pad??
So far I have done
1.Change "Enabe 32-bit Appilcations" to true
2.Design a Universe
2-1. Build a connection with ODBC by Universe Designer
2-2. Design the universe under the connection
2-3. Export it to CMS
3.Design reports by BI launch pad
3-1. Name the Universe
3-2. Practice the query
After we try to continue, we get the error as follows:
The specified DSN contains an architecture mismatch between the Driver and Application
and reports can't be made.
Followings are Environments:
BO4.0
SQL server 2008 R2
BPC10.0
How should I do ??
If anyone could give any kind of advice I would really appricaite it!
Hi, Sapnesh and Avinash
sorry for delay response... as you mentioned, I created connection with 32-bit and solved my problem.
Thanks
Takahiro

You need SQL Server 2008 64 bit drivers on the BI4 server box to make it run in BI-Launchpad, also you have to create a DSN in 64bit ODBC on server with the identical name as you created in 32-bit.
Then it will work in BI_Launchpad.
Thanks,
Avinash

Hi,
LauchPad is a server component, which connect via 64 bit ODBC,
we need 32 bit drivers to connect with client tools in BI 4.0.
Thanks,
Sapanesh
