Hi All,
Please can you explain the importance of MDS, MDIS & MDSS server in MDM
Kindly share any document links if you have
Thank you
Hello Prajwal,
As suggested by Ali, going through the reference guide will give a broader understanding. In a brief
MDS : Master Data Server is meant for handling the Data activities happening in MDM on the whole. This is where the actuall data is saved. When we say data has reached MDM, it recides in Master Data Server.
MDIS and MDSS: MDIS and MDSS facilitates automatic import and syndication respectively. Basically MDIS controls the import activities and MDSS controls the syndication activities. These two are supported from SAP MDM version 7.1.
The logs for MDIS and MDSS can be seen only in th eauxiliary server details, where in the main log file which we have in the main tab shows the MDS activities clearly.
