Hello
If the Manager is requesting access for an employee and they are also the first level approver, is there a way to auto approve this part of
the request without it going to the managers work inbox.
Thanks,
Kyle
The application does not deliver this functionality. But you may achieve it by using BRF plus. Your routing rule must have a DB lookup to check who are the approvers, and if approver is same as requestor, to take a detour to the desired path/stage.
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
Yes you have the option to make an initiator rule as well. I did not mention as I was not sure if you would like the request to be auto provisioned right away, or only first line approver to be auto approved, but subsequent stages would still need approval. In this case, to auto provision entire request, initiator rule is more appropriate.
okay, then if you want to make the rule to the initiator, you can have two paths, one with stage manager as first stage, other path with the other stages without manager stage. And the initiator will define to what path to send the request, This is an idea. I think easier than using routing.
Yes that will work. I can send you an EXAMPLE of initiator rule for no role owner condition. You can take this as a guide, and change it accordingly to your needs, instead of no role owner, you will check for requestor=approver.
but cannot attach it here, if you give me your email I can send it to you. my email is luciana.ullmann@sap.com
