Process when incoming COA is not received

We are using incoming certificates of analysis in procurement, and the current process utilizes transaction QC55 to document certificate receipt and change of status on inspection lot to CROK.

We are facing an issue when the certificate of analysis is not ever sent in.  At the time of GR, stock is placed into QI stock pending results recording and UD.  If, for example, results recording is completed but COA is never received, we want to reject at UD return the stock to the vendor.  However, we cannot remove the stock from QI because the status of the inspection lot is CTCM.  The only option we have found so far is to confirm receipt of the certificate (even though it did not happen) and then reject at UD.

Is there a process in SAP for getting stock out of QI when the certificate of analysis is never received from the vendor?

Hi,

There is no other option other than accepting the receipt of certificate and posting the goods movement. After the goods movement we have to go to QC55 Manually and change the status.

After posting the material we have no option to control with certificate status.

With the help of user exit you can control it. Until and Unless inspection lot get status CROK then no result recording, ud and stock posting will not be done.

You can control it with the help of user status also.
