In APO PPDS there is planning time fence. Other than that in APO we have more flexibility. We can define PPDS production horizon in PPDS and SNP stk trans and snp prod horizon in SNP.
if the confirmed date for the placed purchase order is outside of the SAP standard LT (in the future) then the system should refer first on this purchase orders and not to create new purchase requisitions. Otherwise we order new material, although we have it already ordered. This would lead to pre-/overproduction.
e.g. dependent demand is tomorrow and confirmed date from the placed purchase order is 5 weeks in the future. SAP standard LT is 3 weeks. MRB run creates new purchase requisition to cover the top urgent dependent demand. The system should refer to the placed PO and not create new purchase requisitions.
We got purchase orders in the past and in APO purchase requisitions are created. It does not consider the purchase orders. In R3 was a setting in resceduling horizon with which purchase orders and production orders could be automatically rescheduled. Is this setting also available in APO?
