Subcontracting with modelling Vendor capacity

Hi

Currently we have subcontracting scenario in our system with SNP heuristics.

We plan at vendor in our system but do not plan vendor capacity.

Business want to explore the possibility  to model and planning with vendor capacity in our system.

Is it possible in SNP (either with Heuristics or CTM or any other option)?

It is possible, yes, with scheduling agreement.

Hello Yogesh

You can follow the below Configuration and Functional Steps to model Vendor Capacity

Step 1: Create and activate Integration model to transfer scheduling agreements from ECC to APO through CIF. This data is generated in the SAP APO system as external procurement relationships.

Step 2: Check the Transportation lanes generated in APO after transferring Scheduling agreement from the ECC and assign Means of Transport to the lane using /N/SAPAPO/SCC_TL1

Step 3: Set-up Planning Area by copying the standard Planning area 9ASNP03 to Z Planning Area Z9ASNP03 using /N/SAPAPO/MSDP_ADMIN

Step 4: Set-up the Planning Book and Data view by copying the standard Planning Book 9ASA (Data view SAS(1))  to Z Planning Book Z9ASA (Data SA_PLAN)  using /N/SAPAPO/SDP8B

Step 5: Create/release forecast for the Product at the Destination plant

Step 6: Go to the Planning Book Z9ASA (Data view SA_PLAN) in Interactive planning using /N/SAPAPO/SDP94 and verify the Forecast numbers. Enter the Bucket capacity of the Vendor in the Capacity (Scheduling agreement) Key Figure  (9ACAP_MAX)

Step 7: Go to Supply Network Planning in the Background  using /N/SAPAPO/SNP01 and execute with the following settings:

- Specify the Planning Book and Data view as the new Planning Book Z9ASA (Data view SA_PLAN)

- Specify the selection profile else specify the location products for which you want to run Heuristics

- Select Location Heuristics

- Select Location Product SA Capacity and specify the new Planning Book, Data view and the Key Figures which stores our data for MAX capacity, MIN Capacity and Capacity Consumption

 

  o Planning Book  = Z9ASA

  o Data view  = SA_PLAN

  o Key Figure: Maximum Capacity  = 9ACAP_MAX

  o Key Figure: Zero Cap. Indicator= 9ACAP_MIN

  o Key Fig.: Capacity Consumption = 9APSHIPLPO

Step 8: Go to /N/SAPAPO/SDP94 to view the results in the interactive Planning Book Z9ASA (Data view SA_PLAN)

  

RESULTS

- Observe that the Heuristic run took into account the Vendor capacities specified in the Capacity (Scheduling agreement) Key Figure and generated schedule lines where there was capacity specified available.

- After the bucket where there is no Capacity specified heuristics plans to fulfill its entire backlog demand if any

 

- Orders created are of Category HG = SNP: Sched. Agreement Sched.Line – SA

- The Schedule lines generated can be seen in Key Figure Distribution Receipt for LOCPROD (Planned)
