SRM 7.0 EHP1: Values not saved in Custom Fields

We have upgraded from SRM 4.0 to SRM 7.0 (EHP1) and

have migrated some custom fields that appear in the Item Data section

of the Shopping Cart. When we refresh the screen the field values are lost.

Custom Fields at SC Item Level:

•Customer Field Configuration - custom fields (ZZ*) had previously been

added to a Z append Include within structures INCL_EEW_PD_ITEM_CSF &

INCL_EEW_PD_ITEM_CSF_SC – therefore assumed that no further changes via

IMG are required (they appear as active via SE11 in the structures

above, as well as BBP_PDISC, etc)

•Field Control Configuration - custom fields (ZZ* - same field names as

per customer field Includes) at item level entered via IMG for metadata

entries for BUS2121, set as visible and enabled.

•Web Dynpro UI – WD Component /SAPSRM/WDC_UI_DO_LIMIT via View

V_DO_LIMITS shows our custom fields and allows data to be entered into

them. If ‘Check’ or ‘Save’ buttons used, the previously entered data in

the custom fields is lost (when the view ‘refreshes’) and is not

written

to the DB (in the case of save. No enhancements made to any WD

components at this point

•Data seems to be captured initially in the view context node

LIMIT_ITEM (custom fields appear in the reference

structure/SAPSRM/S_CLL_LIMIT_ITEM – via Z append structure). There

doesn’t appear to be specific node attributes for custom fields in the

standard component. Also noticed that there is no component context

mapping for the view context node LIMIT_ITEM …. (like LIMIT_OVL_REM

•Data entered into custom fields on view UI not available/updated in

item fields during subsequent call to implementations of BADI’s

BBP_DOC_CHECK_BADI & BBP_DOC_CHANGE_BADI.
