usage in case of material determination

HI

In sales order item category is determined as TAX

in case of automatic product selection using substitution reason 0004

need to understand from where at sales order level system came to know that it has to use PSHP as usage to determine item category as tax

where this usage thing triggers at sales order level

PSHP is the usage hard coded in the program

If you use Outcome as A system will determine the Item category with Hard codes usage PSHP

in the same way

Outcome  B will determine the item category with the usage PSA1

these are hard coded in the program

but as in case of normal item category determination system accesses material master to get NORM as item category group, what does system acces here to reach out to PSHP usage, do we maintain anything in material; determination master or system checks out any other field to know that in this case it has to pick usage PSHP

Hi,

System will check the configuration of OUTCOME  in OVRQ and in proposes PSHP as item usage internally

When it comes to Item determination, the Item category group from material master is checked and Usage is proposed internally and derives the Item category from VOV4 assignment

Here, OVRQ setting plays a major roll in determining the Item usage

Hi Khurram,

      As Vermuri explained it is hard coded in the respective program and determining in case of Material Determination as per the Outcome maintained  in T.code  OVRQ.  Please refer below link for further reference.
