PR generating for BOM header in Project

Dear Experts,

I have configured for exploding BOM in project. It is a manual explosion. When I enter the BOM header material and save the project, the PR is getting generated. But I want PR to be generated for components only after explsion. For header materil i have given Indicatior as PF, Item category as L, tried with N also. In material master the procurement type is F. Please suggest me how I can stop PR creation for header material.

Hi,

You must have kept setting for generation of PR at immediately.

Keep the setting for at "release" so that you can explode BOM and then release activity for PRs to get generated.

As sanjeev suggested, this is another method for exploding BOM. or try CN33 for BOM transfer to activity.

HI Felix,

in your scenario execute MRP for bom header material then system will generate PR for BOM component items then PR convert in PO then GRN qty check in material stock and plan order for BOM header material then it will convert in prod order and confirm prod order check material qty in material stock.
