Problems with installation on Win7

Hi all,

I downloaded the SAP NetWeaver 7.02 SP6 64 bit Application Server ABAP Trial Version. I started the installer, but it stops here:

I have administrative rights, and I installed the required java-version. But no idea how to proceed now. Any ideas?

2114 - The Server service is not started. First, check status of this service.

also as per SAP Note No. 998631

The name of the current host or the name of the domain begins with "S-"
or "s-" followed by at least one digit. For example "S-0002". In this
case SAPinst considers an account name like S-0002\Administrators to be
a SID instead of an account name, and access to the account fails.

Solution
Make sure that the hostname and the domain name do not begin with
S-[0-9] or s-[0-9].

Hello Christian,

could you please verify the language version of your Win7 operating system?

Because of the message "Der Serverdienst wurde nicht gestartet" in your post, I assume that you use the german version.

The product is only supported on the english version of the operation system:

A shot in the dark: you have a space in your user account. Try with one that hasn't. You can also add the privileges manually.
