cFolders Authorization

Hi,

Currently I have external users that are just assigned the SAP_CFX_USER role. On the web screen, is it possible to hide cfolders functions like Notification Template, Standards, Meetings, User Groups etc. since these users will not be using this functions.

Also currently these users have access under settings to change their layout. Is there any way to disable this? An earlier thread talked about auth objct ACTVT. However that is not a part of the role SAP _CFX_USER.

thanks

Rahul

You should not use SAP* roles. You should copy them as a starting point and built your own.

Do it properly via the menu and SU24 for the access points and you will be fine in the long run.

For cFolders you also need to consider more than just the PFCG front end menu and auth objects.

Cheers,

Julius

Hi Julius,We don't plan on using the standard SAP * roles. Since cfolders is not transaction oriented how do you propose using su24?tks

For that part which is authorization object related, you can use SU24 (things you can tie to the entry point).

But cFolders have their own concept after the abap objects and entry points. for that you have to go back to subsistence living in the agricultural sector of permissions... but at least you dont have org. levels...  🙂

Have you read the docs on cFolder authorization concept?

Cheers,
