sampling scheme

Hi ,

Assigned sampling scheme in inspection plan is as follows, but by default the inspection lot taken the sampling size 6 irrespective of sampling procedure assigned for that material.

In this above material inspection plan, User have assigned different vendor (say some 100) under material assignment but inspection lot created for the same material in warded from different vendor ( say some 200)  in this scenario have doubt that,

1.       How inspection lot automatically taken the group-group counter assigned for some other vendor.

2.       How the sampling size calculated as 6 irrespective of the sampling procedure assigned in plan?

When an inspection lot is created, the system calls the task list for inspecting a material that corresponds most closely to the material/task list allocation. The following hierarchy applies:

• Material/Customer/Vendor
• Material/Customer
• Material

How the sampling size calculated as 6 irrespective of the sampling procedure assigned in plan?

Thank you... got ur answer for the first one., but in case of 2nd point i am not mentioning that sample size of inspection lot . assigned only one characteristics with above sampling procedure, with respect to sampling procedure, sampling size for that characteristic is 20 but system calculates as 6.

Can you reproduce this issue, and does it always result in 6 than 20 items?

If you redo your issue with a new inspection plan, sampling scheme/procedure and a new characteristic, do you have the same issue as well?

If all above is true I can only recommend you to debug the issue.

Check the control indicator of insp. characteristic.

Is it required or optional?

Only sample size for required characteristic is determined as sample size of insp. lot.

Hi, sampling size calculation is correct for other materials inspection plan assigned with this sampling scheme. This particular material only problem. No sampling procedure assigned in material master also.

2. yes the inspection plan group / group counter assigned correctly in the inspection lot.

Please check first in your inspection lot details if the inspection plan and the sampling procedure/sampling scheme have been pulled correctly. It should be visible there how your lot has been calculated.

Pls make sure that you are using Sample type '300' i.e. using sampling scheme.
