Hello
We are planning to configure multiple transport groups in same domain in our landscape in order to eliminate NFS requirements for a common transport directory.
We also use ChaRM in our landscape and all the transport release procedure is automated. We also have non-ABAP stacks and use NWDI in our systems.
We are thinking about using rsync or a similar scripting to ensure all the transport directories are consistent.
If anyone of you have experience in working on such landscapes, kindly share the best practices and the methods that you used to perform such a configuration. Any help/advise on this topic is really appreciated.
Thanks
Varun
Hello Varun
Few things to consider
Log files generated during import of transport will be accessible only via the transport group of the target system
Log files generated during export of transport will be accessible only via the transport group of source system
you will need a different transport profile for each transport group.
I will try to find out what specific you will have to do for charm or if it has any reservations.
