SAP ERP 6.0 EHP5+SAP Netwevaer EP 7.3 Fresh installation

HI All,

We are installing SAP ERP 6.0 with EHP5 fresh installtion Windows OS +Sybase database ,I am having some doubts please clarify below points.

1) Time management module prospective client is asking install SAP netweaver EP 7.3 my doubt can we install along with ehp5 portal or we need to install separately ep 7.3?

Please suggest and guide how to proceed further.

As far as I know you have to install EP 7.3 separately..

It is not possible to to install along with EHP5 portal.

1) Please confirm me its not possible to install dual stack system in ERP 6.0 with EHP5?

2) For downloading SAP Netwevaer EP 7.3 media below path is correct or not?

3) NEtwevaer ep 7.3 is supported to Sybase databse or not?

Hi,

The compatibility depends on the business packages in use. Please check the

following notes regarding the problem:

- 1532805  Add-On Compatibility of SAP NetWeaver 7.3

- 1468349  SAP Business Suite 7 for SAP NetWeaver 7.3 hub systems

- 1618606  Patches for SAP Business Suite 7 for SAP NetWeaver 7.3 hub

It's always advisable that you use the MOPZ (SAP Maintenance Optimizer)

to determine the packages which you can install in order to have a

compatible installation. You can read more about MOPZ at:

SAP provides Business Packages for the backend releases Business Suite 7

(e.g. ECC 6.0 EhP4, SRM 7.0, etc.) and Business Suite 7 Innovations 2010

(e.g. ECC 6.0 EhP5; SRM 7.0 EhP1, etc.) on SAP NetWeaver Portal 7.3.

Customers running an older SAP ERP release (e.g. ECC 6.0 EhP3 or below)

may manually integrate their ABAP transactions via AppIntegrator or need

to upgrade to the supported release level. Especially Java-based

business packages had to be adjusted to the new runtime environment

(Java EE5) of the portal server.

If you are running an upgrade from SAP NetWeaver 7.0 Portal with

installed Business Packages, the upgrade tool will ask you for the

successor versions. In Solution Manager you can then choose the relevant

Packages. As an alternative you may keep the Business Packages on the

separate Portal 7.0 and integrate the remote content into the central

Portal 7.3. Details about the availability of Business Suite content are

maintained in the notes mentioned at the beginning of my answer.

Hi,

I'd like to recommend you to use the Software Provisioning Manager

(SWPM) for installation which based on 7.3x. The new tool has replaced

the old installation masters, but has the same framework as known from

old SAPInst. But with better bugfixing

.

Hi,

Please install EP 7.3 & EHP5 ERP 6.0 separately as they are two different systems and can be installed separately. Please refer to the above information for the media and installation documentation.

EP 7.3 we are using time management module purpose after installing we need to deploy any Business objects ?if yes how we will select the business objectes?
