Dear Experts,
I have a requirement where in case of free goods both main item and free item should be delivered together.
ex:
Promotion is buy 2 material A and get 1 material B free.
In the sales order i enter Material A=10. so Material B will be automatically determined as 5 quantities.
At the time of delivery the Material A and B should be delivered together.
If there is insufficient stock even for 1 quantity for either material A or B , then system should not allow to deliver both material A and B.
System can allow to deliver other material except the main item and free item.
Please provide your inputs.

Nandeesh kumar.L
Hi Nandeesh,
Please maintain the following fields for Free Goods Condition Records T Code - VBN1:-
Go to Free Goods View Exclusive
Free Goods Category - 2 Exclusive
Add Material for Free Goods - enter the material code which you want to give as free goods.
Free Goods Delivery Control - E Delivery Proportional to quantity in main item.
Then go to Sales Order Overview Screen and under Shipping Tab there is a column as Delivery Groups. Enter a same digit in all the Line Items that are required to be delivered togather.
Hope it Helps
Thanks & Regards

Hello Nandeesh,
You will have to create Delivery groups in Sales Order to ensure that items (main & free) are delivered togather.
Please refer the below link on Delivery Groups: To Ensure Line Items are Delivered togather:
http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-29202
Along with this also set the indicator E - Delivery proportional to quantity in main item in Free Goods Condition Records (VBN1).
Thanks,

Dear Nandeesh,
I'm not sure if this will gonna help you out but can you please try after changing the qty. at schedule line level. You can change the same at sale order level and when you'll change the value of qty. at sale order schedule line level i'm sure it will work. Do update with your findings kindly. Thanks and have a good day.

Dear,
In VBN1, maintain "Field " Free Goods Delivery Control " as B - Delivery only If main item is fully delivered .
If you have any doubts please let me know .
Thanks,
Naren

Hi,
Thanks for replying.
Promotion :Buy 1 get 1 free. In VBN1 i maintained as Free Goods Delivery Control " as B.
Main item stock =3.
Free item stock=5.
In sales order i enter main item as 5 so free item will also come as 5.
During delivery since main item has only 3 system brings information message in log as Free goods group not complete Message no. VL261. This is ok this message can be change to error.
But in other case
Promotion :Buy 1 get 1 free. In VBN1 i maintained as Free Goods Delivery Control " as B.
Main item stock =10.
Free item stock=5.
In sales order i enter main item as 10 so free item will also come as 10.
During delivery main item will be 10 and free item will be 5 . since there is only 5 free items system will show warning message as only 5 available This is common message not specific to free goods.
my requirement is in free goods both main item and free item should be delivered together.
If any stock is not there for either main item or free item system should not allow PGI for any of those materials.
