Downgrade Protection - Prerequisites

Hi Experts,

We have enabled CSOL & DGP (Downgrade Protection) for managing the transport risks on our managed systems. CSOL is working fine as expected, but DGP is not working.

We get a warning message "cCTS plug in is not installed on the managed system". DGP check ignored.

Now when I try to fix this by installing CTS plug in, it is not getting successfully installed. Below is my release levels for m managed systems:

PI_BASIS 7.11 - SP 0006

SAP ABA 7.11 - SP 0006

SAP BASIS 7.11 - SP 0006

SAP BW 7.11 - SP 0006

ST-A/PI 01P_710

ST-PI 2008_1_710 - SP 006

According to SAP Note 1665940, CTS plug in cannot be installed on my managed system based on above information. In this case, what is the alternative. Is this functional limitation or is there alternate option to make DGP work?

Marking it as closed. As per the reply from SAP for my OSS message, this cannot work for NW 7.11. This can only work for NW 7.31 or 7.4 and higher.

Hello Imran,

we have the same situation on our Systems, please read note 1688276. You can distribute the CTS-Plugin for DGP with the Report CTS_DISTRIBUTE_PLUGINS to the managed System.
