Variant configuration : costing with Characteristic ?

Hi guys ,

As you all know, during the sales order creation  system is bringing a pop up where we can configure the sales order item. based on this configuration cost wil be being calculated.

Question is here :

We have a material which doesnt have routing yet and BOM can change a lot in the next stages . Thats why i would like to have to additional characteristics, one for additional component and one for Required labor . Customer wants to put here some values  and wants to see these items in the cost calculation.

material type: Iron

additional component : 10000 dolar

Reuired labor : 300 hours

color : blue

etc .

Any idea ?

you can add value of this addition to the price of material in sales order using  varient condition.

Actually i was talking about cost of the product not abouth the price. anyway thanks for your reply.

I solved the issue with dummy operation and dummy material since we are using cost calculation with qantity structure .
