Upgrade from SLcM ECC 6.0 to EHP6

Dear All,

We have implemented SLcM on ECC 6.0 and lot of transactions are customized. Now we would like to move to Latest Version of Student Life Cycle in EHP6.

I have following Queries :

What will be the recommended approach :

1) Technical Upgrade then enabling additional functions and correcting existing programs.

Or

2) Start fresh implementation in New Box and Migrate the Student Data from Old Box to New Box.

What will be the effort in Data Migration, can we be able to migrate all data ?

I will recommend first option Technical upgrade.

Hi Kamal,

definitely the first option. This is standard procedure when it comes to upgrading. Don't upgrade on the DEV/Q/PROD immediately, but make a client copy onto a machine with the same EHP&SP level. Test-upgrade on that one. You will be able to see where problems occur that way without interrupting development etc.
