AS400 Folder and Libarary

Hi,

I am send the data to AS400 Server Using FTP Adaptor.How to access the Folder instead of Librarary? can it be possible to send the data to folder.

Technically i want to know, can it be possible to send from XI to AS400 in the folders instead of library.

Currently i am using FTP Adaptor. Instead can it be possible use JDBC (as400) to access flat file?

Which is the best way to access or send the file to AS400 System. Whether FTP ADaptor or JDBC adptor?

I have seen both ways on integrating XI with AS400 systems.

You can use JDBC adapters to directly connect to the AS400 database and update / select / insrt data etc. or , your AS400 system can create a file and you can use it with XI.

Not sure which is the better approach though.

One advanatge with JDBC adapters thought is that you allow for Synchronous processing ( if needed ) and also, you do not need content conversion etc in XI.

use FTP adapter to send file to AS400.....specify the directory where the file is to be sent from the root folder.....
