product substitution with batch determination

Hi,

We are using batch determination functionality by using product allocation and its working as expected.

But while using the same functionality with product substitution or location substitution the batch determiantion is not working.

Example: product A batch determination will happen automatically for SP and Product B there is no batch determination.

Now while creating sales order the requested material (Product) is B if stock is not available it is substituting product A but with out batch.

Please assist me.

Hi HAB,

Please have a look into note 892450. You can just copy the batch number from the mainitem to the subitem. A batch determination for the subitem is not possible/not allowed during a rules based ATP check.
