In the repair scenario of CS, we are planning to create a new billing engine. The old billing was based on only the repair symptoms while the new billing would be based on the service level determination, which would again be based on the symptoms of the repair and the action to be followed... Any ideas on how to approach?
Hi,
could you please give some more information on old billing and new billing
what is your process and what you are expecting?
regards,
santos

Hi,
For the repair process, the old billing engine would require only the Symptom code for the Service Level Determination, but the new code would require the Symptom List (What are the symptoms from the customer regarding the failure of the device), Action List ( exactly what repair has been done). This would also require us to consider a few other factors such as In Warranty, Out of Warranty, whether the correct symptom has been captured and if there are any other additional symptoms which were missed out and if it is only inspection which is done.
What are all the modules which would need to be integrated and how exactly to provide the Service Level Determination. Please help me with your views...
Thanks...
Hi,
In the service Notification, you have CATALOGS concept where you can maintain the defect codes and code groups based on which you can specify the kind of defect, cause of defect
for example
If your PUMP is found defective
base on the CATALOGS in the notification, you can maintain the DEFECTIVE code
and what kind of defect whether it is MECHANICAL or ELECTRICAL defect
and what is the cause of defect whether it is TORSION or SHORT CIRCUIT
these details you can add in the notification
and respective action can be configured so that what is the approach you implemented as action can also be captured
It requires SD/PM/CS integration specific to this context
hope it is clear
regards,
santosh
