Hi
We have an issue with the weekly quantities that are transferred to ECC as forecast:
We have 2 data views in our planning area:
A monthly data view, in which the demand planners enters their forecast to a "sale forecast" k.fig
A weekly data view that is used in our Job that transfers the forecast to our ECC/DM
The problem is:
For example in our monthly view for 12/2013 : 5537 PCS
In the weekly view the quantities are shown like :
W49= 1292 PCS
W50= 1222 PCS
W51= 1258 PCS
W52= 1240 PCS
W01/2014= 353 PCS
In total : 5365 pcs
This is what is also shown in our MRP/MD04
The problem is where the missing 172 pcs?
If we look in the planning book to use "storage bucket profile" we see:
01.12.2013 = 172 pcs
02.12.2013 = 1292 pcs
09.12.2013= 1222 pcs
16.12.2013=1258 pcs
23.12.2013=1240 pcs
30.12.2013=353 pcs
In total : 5537 pcs!! --> what is entered in out monthly view , and the "real" forecast!
The 01.12.2013 seams to be the "missing" 172 pcs!
This date is not transfered to our MRP in ECC!
What could be the reason for that?
Thank you
Hi,
The standard APO system considers a week from Monday through Sunday.
In your example, 12/1/2013 falls on Sunday and hence, week 48. The missing 172 pcs would have been added to Week 48. The monthly value of forecast 5537 is distributed to the weeks based on the technical periods as shown below.
Technical periods for weeks of Dec, 2013
11/25/2013 - 12/01/203 - Week 48 - 1 day (172 pcs considering only 12/1/2013)
12/02/2013 - 12/08/2013 - Week 49 - 7 days (1292 pcs)
12/09/2013 - 12/15/2013 - Week 50 - 7 days (1222 pcs)
12/16/2013 - 12/22/2013 - Week 51 - 7 days(1258 pcs)
12/23/2013 - 12/29/2013 - Week 52 - 7 days (1240 pcs)
12/30/2013 - 1/5/2014 - Week 01 - 2 days (353 pcs considering only 12/30 and 12/31 i.e. 12/30/2013 - 12/31/2013)
Thanks,
Rajesh

Hi Rajesh,
Thank you very much for your detailed replay.
Since our demand planners always look in APO monthly view and then check to see in their ECC/MD04 also in monthly sum, they expect to see the same quantities per month both in APO and MRP.
Is there a way to achive this?
Should we maybe change the storage bucket profile that it will be connencted to s time stream ID that have only Mon-Fri
Thanks
