Percentage field in SAP HANA

Hi Everyone,

We have amount field in SAP HANA and we want percentage of amount in Analytic View. When I try to create Calculate measure we don't have SUM function available.

We need this in Analytic View it self as SAP HANA Info Access app can only access Analytic Views from SAP HANA.

Can anyone help me on this.

Hi Venkat,

Have you succeeded with calculating percentages based on measures in an Analytic or Calculation view? I've been struggling to have percentages being calculated correctly in a crosstab when using hierarchies.

Why do you need a sum() function? Can you not just created the calculated measure, and if required, select 'calculate before aggregation'? Otherwise it'll calculate afterwards - i.e. SUM() will be applied on base measures when AN view is queried, and then calculation will be executed.

If row-level calculation is needed and all fields come from same source table, consider using generated columns.
