how to draw Time-series bar chart in SAP MII

Customer is looking for MII report with  Time-series bar chart for  the stock information, which could look like the following.

However, I found there is only the chart type ‘Line’  in   iChart contains the Time-series information.

Do you have any idea if it is possible to get Time-series bar chart in SAP MII?

I have customized the attributes of the ichart to archieve this.

Aaron, You can achieve this by chart type 'group chart' .

Configuration: Date column would be label column and all different color bars would be value columns.

"group chart' does not help.

I want to visualize the DateTime value on X-Axis but not the linespeed as attached screenshot.

Aaron, It doesn't seems you chose right chart type /right configuration. ( since your bars are same color which means there is only one value column and you have not chosen date column as label column ) .

Any way, if you can post your test data ( XML ) , I can try to get the visualization you need.

Just try to make it simple. I just want Datime value  to show in the X-Axis.

I used almost the default setting of bar type of the ichart. datetime colume/value is chosen for X-AXIS.

the line chart shows the X-Axis labels and values properly. but the bar chart does NOT. 

for example:

datetime                         L1speed

2013-05-12 00:00:00         50

2013-05-12 01:00:00         55

2013-05-12 02:00:00         40

2013-05-12 03:00:00         60

Hi Aaron,

Get the DateTime in xml format (yyyy-MM-ddTHH:mm:ss) in one column, and the desired tag value in another.

In your chart template:

- select chart type as 'Bar'

- map only your value column to 'Value Columns'

- refer the below screenshot for X-Axis

This is all I did and got the desired chart. Hope it works for you now.
