SAP_XMII_Developer role assignment in UME

Hello Experts,

As instructed in the security and config guides, we have assigned SAP_XMII_Developer role to users in UME in our MII system.

However when the user logs in they are unable to view any menu's or content development tab.

Are there any special settings to be done, or actions to be included ? We are using SAP delivered roles only. We are on MII 12.2.5 version.

Only the SAP_XMII_Administrator is able to see MII menu and all other roles doesnt show any menu on the left hand side navigation panel for users.

SAP Support teams have indicated that the login link should be changed. The input provided is as below. " MII is designed such that if you acess /XMII/Menu.jsp it presents all user options to the user having developer role. However, if you leave the URL at /XMII you are accessing the personalization service, which blocks user menu for developers. So if you want the user to access all menu items, please access /XMII/Menu.jsp." Login link : http://<server>:<port>/XMII/Menu.jsp

The issue is resolved now.

Hi Sri,

Seems there is some issue with the version you are using.

I am using 12.2.4 and when I assign only SAP_XMII_Developer role to a user, appropriate tabs are visible including 'Content Development' tab.

Please check for any note available on this version else log a ticket with SAP.
