OLAP Universe migration issue - Parse Failed: Exception: DBD, the supplied XML is not valid

Hi Experts.

I am migrating alot of OLAP universe from BO 3.1 to BO4 (SP5) Patch 5

I am experiencing alot of error with the OLAP universe. the original OLAP Universe (connection to SAP BI) have no issue when I do a integrity check.

However once migrated using the upgrade tool, I got over 1000 error when try to parse the objects

Most of the error showed "Parse Failed: Exception: DBD, the supplied XML is not valid"

Is there any fundamental change to the Engine?

I know it is best to use the new UNX, however I try to do a like for like technical upgrade before we start to improve them.

Do anyone have similar experience?

Hi Vincent,

Your Key figure(s) might have been changed at BW level.

Have you tried refreshing universe(s) structure and export it back to repository an try whether reports are running fine without any issue?

I found the problem, we are using a new SAP account for migrated universe, and there is missing Analysis Authorisation in SAP (RSECADMIN)

this is causing all the XML error.
