Problems importing Design Objects on PI 7.3

Former Member

Hi friends,

I'm trying to import a design .tpz file from client and the message is the objects were imported correctly but the objects are not available.

But, if I search by them, I can see it.

I'm with PI 7.3 and I have done this action before.

Do you know what is the problem?

Thank you so much,

Luciana

Hi Raja,

Thank you.

I will ask them, when can we stop and start PI because this is production environment.

Definetly not adviceble to stop and start production server. Ask basis to perform full cache refresh and ask them to check log files clearly if necessary ask them to remove locks.

Hi Raja,

I performed full cache refresh, there's no blocked objects annd the problem still persists

Thank you

just an idea: check the locked objects in the Integration Builder. Maybe somebody or something locks objects or namespaces.

Hi Luciana,

We are on PI 7.3 and are  facing the same issue.

We have raised an OSS call. It looks like there is some issue in the import process.

Hi Krish,

Hummm, it is not a good new...

Have you tried to delete the SWCV and import it again ?

Because we are planning a stop on the PI server to try it today.

Thank you

Deleting the SWCV would be the last thing in our mind..

ahaha

In our case, We just have 2 namespaces on production environment... so the impact woulnt be so big.

I'll open an OSS before.

Thank you

Thank you Krish,

Please, let me know if SAP solve your problem.

Hi friends,

I had opened an OSS to SAP and the problem was solved.

The only thing I did was set a dummy change (like a space or ".") in the description of each object I was transporting.

So, I did it in each DT, MT, OM, etc.

Exported again, imported again.

Some conflits appeared, I solved it normally and manually and activated them.

Now its ok.

Thank you so much,

Luciana

Here too, I had the same problem... PI 7.31

I saw message warning then I checked(F7) my Namespace Definition.

So, I just flag Objetc Are Modifiable and create the new Namespace.

I think that only one message warning on Display Namespace failed the Import Design Object.

regards,

Hi Luciana,

If you open the objects after search, can you see correct SWCV and Namespace within it? Not available means you dont see the Objects under that specific SWCV-Namespace?

Hi Nabendu,

Before your answer, I had deleted the objects from my search list and I imported the .tpz again and now, using search, it's not possible to find the objects anymore

Hi Friens,

The basis told me that there's some errors on log.

I believe that the problem can be that, the first time I transported this SWCV to production environment, all of namespaces were transported, so I deleted the namespace I wouldn't use on production on that moment.

Do you believe that this is the problem?

How can I solve this?

Thank you so much

Hi Luciana,

Any news from the basis team?

Make sure the components are properly patched and your user has sufficient authorization.

Kind regards,

Dimitri
