UD saved, transfer posting did not occur

We were performing a UD against an incoming inspection lot, and the user received a time out error that kicked them out to menu.  When we try to go back into the UD, we get an error that the UD is already done.  The status against the UD line is red, and the material did not transfer from QI to Unrestricted.  When I look at the inspection lot, no UD code was saved to it, but the system will not allow me into it to adjust.  How do I update the system so that the inspection references the accepted UD code, and move the inventory to Unrestricted status?

Actually, there is an SAP Note that allows the correction of inconsistent UDs:

sapnote_0000174877 that allowed us to correct the issue.

Hi,

Try tcode QA12 (Change UD), Enter UD code & Enter the posting qty. in Inspection lot stock.

Stock will then move to Unrestricted use.

Try using the transaction code QA12 or QA13 and enter the UD code and do the stock posting.
