OK, it is released by default, but:

Does anyone know why they do not update the note?

Yes, i know why they don't update the note, as the guy who is doing this is sitting right next to me :-).

The note will be updated as soon the DVD from SAP with SQL Server 2005 + SP2 is released. This will be the case within the next few days. SAP has started to produce this DVDs today.

Oh! Goooood source!

Is it a good idea to wait for this DVDs to use it for an upgrade?

And: Do you include the full client toolset, includig the BI thing for the reports?

And: Does SAP intend to deliver SAP-specific custom reports?

Kind regards, Rudi

Hello,

if you want to upgrade your installation to SQL Server 2005 you can use any other DVD with SQL 2005 as the installation bits won't change. Only the SP2 will be an additionally part of the new DVD.

The installation bits including all features from SQL 2005, from the Report Services, Analysis Server, Notification Service to the Integration Service. There is no special SAP version of the SQL 2005 installation bits.

Currently i don't know anything about special SAP-specific reports.

Ever started the old standard report for the database overview in SP1?

Seen the server CPU busy for minutes? And the the client CPU?

This has been solved and the standard reports are now able to show

an overview for databases of "SAP size".
