Hi all,

we are trying to install SAP GUI 7.30. In several cases, during the installation process, the following error occurs:

"Microsoft Register Server has stopped working - A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Please close the program. -> Close the program."

Is this a common SAP GUI installation problem? What is the cause and the solution for this problem?

Thanks in advance!

Christian,

What switch are you using with EXE to install/upgrade?

Please try this and let me know

1.  Navigate to "C:\Program files (x86)\Common Files\SAP Shared\BW" and delete "wdbz.ocx" and retry.

2.  Ensure that regsvr32.exe process is not running.  If the process is active in Task Manager, please kill it and retry.

Thirumal

And by the way, the "screenshot" was done by a costumer of our firm.

Hallo Christian,

You can use PrintScrn to save screenshots to upload to the forum - no need for cameras.

What 7.30 compilation DVD are you using?

You should use compilation 2 DVD and update your installation server with the sapsetup patch
