Hi,
I have created an HTTP type H connection in the SM59 and when I do a connection test I get the below message. I am not a basis guys so please help.
STATUS HTTP response 404
Status Text Not found
you can try "telnet (your target IP) (your port)" and see it goes.

Pls check all the details in 'Technical settings' and 'Logon and security' tab if they are correct .
Also pls check if the URL is working .

Hi,
404 means You have reached the specified server but the requested file/page could not be found. Based on that I would say the basis configuration is ok and the problem lies on the side of connection configuration in SM59 or on the requested server.
Could You please copy the URL You've provided in SM59 and check what response will You get when You use it in Your internet browser?
