Hi all,
I installed and I Configured the ADS using the sapinst for SAP Netweaver 04 SR1. The EP was updated with SP15. When I run the Test from http://<server>:<port>/AdobeDocumentServices/Config e process the Test and click on send, I receive the following error:
An error has occurred. Maybe the request is not accepted by the server:
Exception in method rpData.
Is need to install Adobe Reader on server? Or any other Adobe software to run the ADS?
please, they help me.

Hello Elton,
No Reader is needed on the server: WebAS Java with ADS component must be properly installed. On the client, depending on your WebAS version you could need xACF (Active Components Framework) to enable communication between the form and the WD application.
Which NW and ADS version / SP level ? Check if both are on the same SP.
Please check the installation & configuration guide according to your NW WebAS installation on service.sap.com/adobe > Media Library > Documentation. There's probably some step missing.

Hi,
You don't need to install a Adobe Reader on the server, and as far i know you don't need to install extra software.
What you should do, is:
1. get a credential file.
2. find out if the ADSUser is created and if it is a member of the ADSCallers group.
3. look if the url of the ADS service is the correct one.
(all mentioned above is well documented in the Installation guide ADS)
I hope it helps.
Kind regards,
Maarten.
