MATERIAL FLOW indicator in PDS

Hi Experts,

Can anyone please let me know how does the "MATERIAL FLOW indicator in PDS gets updated"

This field can be seen in the PDS tab ACTIVITY RELATIONSHPS

Is there any way to uncheck it in APO or via ECC?

Will a case exist with this indicator unchecked?

Hi SCMLearner,

The full form of this term is material flow along releationship.

If ticked, It indicates that the material processed in first activity will be further processed in the successor activity.

Used to effectively calculate scrap & it is used mostly in steel/oil/process industries.

I think this tick will come when you have the same material component assigned at multiple phases/operations in respective recipe/routing. It means that same material is being used at multiple phases/operations.

Hi,

Can you check in routing in ECC for that particular operations any continuous flow indicator is mainatained.
