Purchase Order creation Error

Hi Sap gurus,

I'm getting an issue  "Action could not be performed- Purchase group could not be determined" while creating PO... can anyone please let me know why this issue is coming when i'm trying to create PO.

Hello,

Try to set a breakpoint in function module BBP_OM_DETERMINE_RESP_PGRP.

When creating the PO, it should call this function and you find why no purchasing group is being determined.

Thanks for the reply, Trinath how can i check whether the Purchasing group is properly assigned to that user or not. Any specific Attribute for the user to check that....

And how the mapping will be done for a USER with Purchase Organization...

Hi Sanjay,

Can you please check in BBP_CUST_TARGET_OBJ, whether the backend objects has been defined for the purchasing group or not.

Dear Sanjay,

You have to check the Master Data setup in the ERP.

You can do the User assingment by using Tcode PPOCW.

Hi Sanjay , Problem is with your attributes. Check User -- CP -- Position and to different Org unit linkage exists ..Tcode: PPOMA_BBP

Is there any attribute for assignment of Porg or Pgroup to CP in SRM. I checked the CP but i found no where the linkage between the Pgroup and CP.

Hi Sanjay,

Purchase Groups are placed within Purchase Organisations.

Each Purchase Group has a reponsibility Tab under which you will define the responsible Product Categories and Reponsible Org Unit.

This responsible Org Unit will be the Org Unit under which User's Position is maintained. So base on Product Category & Org Unit responsible Pur Grp & Pur Org will be defined.

Hello Sanjay,

To find the Purchasing group of the user

- goto tcode pposa_bbp

- u shall find the purchasing group of the user in the Responsibility tab
