Dear Experts,

I am getting authorization error in SM59 for RFC TMSSUP@PRD.DOMAIN_DEV .

Error:

LogonCancel
Error DetailsName or password is incorrect (repeat logon)

I went in client 000 in DEV ie the domain controller and generated RFC destinations. Still issue not resolved.

Pls help.

Good Day

Please read TADM12_2 - SAP NetWeaver AS Implementation & Operation II

Excerpt from the document:

TMSSUP@<SID>.<domain name>.

The user TMSADM is inserted as system user into the TMSADM@<SID>.<domainname> destination but there is no RFC user inserted into the TMSSUP@<SID>.<do-main name> destination. Therefore, if you try to execute a function that goes beyond the limited authorizations of the TMSADM user, for example, scheduling an import, the system uses the TMSSUP destination. As a result, the system prompts you for a user name and password on the target system that does have the necessary authorizations.

Hello Madhura,

Please regenerate the TMS rfc using below options

stms -> system overview(4th icon from left side) -> extras -> generate rfc destinations.

give sap_all to TMSADM user in 000 client for PRD, QAS, DEV and then try to import.

Thanks,
Ranjith

Hello Madhura

What is the error message you get when you try to import the TR ?

Date     05/07/2013       Function TMS_PS_WRITE_PROFILE_TO_DISK

Time     17:17:21         Message  SET_CODEPAGE_FAILED

Also this error is due to the issues at the OS level.

Can you check whether the transport directory is mounted and accessible ?

Cheers

Hi,

Can anyone provide us solution how to resolve TMSSUP@<SID>_<domain name>_<SID> RFC Authorization test failed error. We have checked and found that in our PRD system TMSADM user was not locked also it's having required access even we are facing same "Name or password is incorrect (repeat logon)" error.

Note: Transports are going fine from our DEV->QAS->PRD servers but why authorization test is failed.

Hi Madhura,

Please check the user TMSADM is not locked and it is not expired in DEV system.

If that's not the case regenerate the RFC (delete the mentioned RFC from system before regenerate)

I would try to update the kernel to discard a problem with TP, you can also test it with report RSTPTEST.

Hi Guys,

The issue is resolved.

I removed the request from the import queue in STMS_IMPORT

Then reimported in QAS system . Then through Solution manager, imported in PRD.

Thanks for the support.

Madhura.

Hello Madhura,

check this: http://sapbasisdurgaprasad.blogspot.in/2011/06/how-to-create-rfc-connection-in-sap.html

RFC user should be created at the destination SID with relevant authorization. While creating a connection from source to destination you should enter the RFC user and its relevant password which you have created for destination in SM59 of source.

Also check  http://help.sap.com/saphelp_wp/helpdata/en/28/ecfc0fa6fe11d3b47f0060941931ed/content.htm

Hi Madhura,

Are you sure the RFC is pointing to client 000? Which user is used in the connexion? Is this user not locked or have enough rights?

Best regards,

Hi Jonathan,

No user is specified in the RFC. Only client 000 and password:' initial'  is specified.

The RFC is of generated type and also i cannot edit the RFC .Pls help.

Hi Madhura,

Did you try to test the connection from the source system witm transaction SM59?

"Remote Logon", "Connection Test" and "Unicode Test" ?

Best regards,

Hi Jonathan,

Remote logon: Navigates to 000 logon screen and asks for password

Connection test: Successful

Unicode test is fine too
